1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Card Price King ("the Service"), including our website at cardpriceking.com and our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Account Registration
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- One person may not operate multiple accounts.
3. Marketplace Rules
Card Price King is a marketplace platform connecting buyers and sellers of trading cards. By using the marketplace, you agree to the following:
For Sellers
- Listings must accurately describe the item's condition, set, and any defects.
- You must ship items within a reasonable timeframe after a sale is completed.
- You are responsible for proper packaging to prevent damage during shipping.
- Prices must be listed in US dollars.
- You may not list counterfeit, stolen, or prohibited items.
- A platform fee is deducted from each sale as stated in the seller dashboard.
For Buyers
- You must provide a valid shipping address for order delivery.
- Payment is processed at the time of purchase using Stripe.
- All sales are between you and the seller. Card Price King facilitates the transaction but is not the seller of the items.
- You should inspect items upon delivery and report any issues promptly.
4. Auctions
- All bids are binding commitments to purchase at the bid price.
- Bids cannot be retracted once placed.
- Auctions may auto-extend if a bid is placed near the end time.
- The winning bidder is responsible for completing the purchase.
- Sellers may set reserve prices. If the reserve is not met, the seller is not obligated to sell.
- Shill bidding (bidding on your own auctions or colluding with others to inflate prices) is strictly prohibited and will result in account suspension.
5. Payments & Fees
- All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
- Card Price King charges a platform fee on each sale (currently shown in your seller dashboard).
- Seller payouts are processed according to the payout schedule displayed in the seller dashboard.
- Shipping costs are determined by each seller's shipping profile and are charged to the buyer.
- Buyers may pay via saved payment cards. Card details are stored securely by Stripe.
6. AI Card Scanner
The AI card scanner is provided as a convenience tool for identifying trading cards. While we strive for accuracy:
- AI identifications are estimates and may not always be accurate.
- Price comparisons from eBay reflect current market listings and may vary.
- You are responsible for verifying card details before listing or purchasing.
- Card Price King is not liable for any losses resulting from inaccurate AI identifications.
7. Prohibited Activities
You may not use Card Price King to:
- List or sell counterfeit, replica, or unauthorized trading cards
- Engage in fraud, deception, or misrepresentation
- Manipulate prices through shill bidding or fake accounts
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the platform without permission
- Circumvent platform fees by arranging off-platform transactions
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
8. Disputes & Refunds
- Buyers and sellers should first attempt to resolve disputes directly through the messaging system.
- If a resolution cannot be reached, contact Card Price King support for assistance.
- Card Price King may, at its discretion, issue refunds, hold funds, or take other action to resolve disputes.
- Items significantly not as described may be eligible for a refund.
9. Intellectual Property
The Card Price King name, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property. Pokemon is a trademark of Nintendo / The Pokémon Company. Card Price King is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, or any trading card manufacturer.
10. Account Suspension & Termination
Card Price King reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in prohibited activities, or negatively impact the community. We will attempt to notify you before taking action unless immediate action is required for safety or fraud prevention.
11. Limitation of Liability
Card Price King is a marketplace platform and is not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of listings. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Card Price King shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
